General Information

Nurture Language School is registered with the Ministry of Education (MOE registration no. 3126) and is accredited with CaseTrust, allowing us to accept international applicants for our courses.

Prior to enrolling with our school, our academic counsellors will endeavour to do our best to answer any queries you have about the courses, the enrolment procedures, student pass application or even about living in Singapore.

Enrolled international students with our school are required to abide with the rules and regulations of our school (more information is available on both our website and in our student handbook).

CaseTrust for Education

What is CaseTrust for Education? From 1 September 2005, all private education organisations (PEO) that want to enrol international students must be CaseTrust accredited by the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE).

A PEO that achieves CaseTrust for Education is accredited as an organisation that possesses a proper system and set of practices aim at looking after the welfare and interests of its international students. A CaseTrust accredited PEO must have the following mechanisms in place:

  • Clear fee policies
  • Well-defined student redress practices and systems
  • Disclosure of the School's commitment to quality
  • Well-trained personnel

To ensure that the interests of the international students are protected, they are required to enter into a Standard Student Contract with the PEO and adopt the Student Protection Scheme. These procedures are also required in order to apply for a student pass with the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

Student Protection Scheme (SPS)

What is the Student Protection Scheme (SPS)? The purpose of the SPS is to protect the student's tuition fees through an external third party. This means that instead of paying the tuition fees directly to the School, the student will pay into a special bank account (called the Escrow Account).

These fees will be kept in custody by the CASE-endorsed bank and will only be released to the School on a periodic basis. In the unfortunate event that the School is unable to continue operations, the bank will return the remaining tuition fees to the student.

It is compulsory for all our international students to be under this payment scheme, as a safeguard of their interests.

Nurture Language School has in place a Student Protection Scheme as stipulated by CASE and we have appointed DBS Bank Ltd. to operate and maintain our SPS-Escrow Account facility.

Tuition Fees (please refer to our international students' courses for respective course tuition fees) are payable through telegraphic transfer to our school's DBS Escrow Account.

Non-Tuition Fees (eg. registration fees, materials fees) are payable directly to Nurture Language School Pte. Ltd. We accept payments in the form of cash, Singapore bank issued cheques, cashier's order or telegraphic transfer. A receipt will be issued to the student upon confirmation of payment received.

Please note that we are only able to accept payments in Singapore dollars (SGD). For payments through telegraphic transfer, please indicate to your remitting bank that you will bear all remittance charges, including the beneficiary's (Nurture Language School) charges.

During your application process, our student counsellors will advise you on the fees payable and the payment procedures.
